Overview

Are you a detail-driven administrator who thrives on solving problems and following clear processes? We’re looking for a Billing Administrator to join our friendly and supportive finance team at a leading law firm based in Leeds City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with general office administration experience who is confident using Microsoft Office packages and enjoys working in a structured, process-led environment.

You don’t need prior billing experience — we’ll provide full training and ongoing support. What matters most is your ability to stay organised, communicate clearly, and tackle queries with a problem-solving mindset. You’ll be part of a team that handles around 500 queries per month via a ticketing system, ranging from updating client rates on Aderant to processing time transfers and resolving billing-related questions. With a hybrid working model (typically in-office on Mondays and Fridays), you’ll enjoy flexibility while being part of a collaborative team of three other billing administrators who are committed to helping you grow and succeed.

As the Billing Administrator, you will:

  • Process and post client bills onto the billing system
  • Loading of all invoices onto the E-Billing platforms and making sure they adhere to the client's requirements
  • Complete billing and rate tasks
  • Administration of the billing system to delete leavers and add new starters
  • Add agreed contract client rates to the billing system
  • Editing time entries on the time recording system
  • Process and deal with queries and enquiries received into the Billing Inbox and via the ticketing system (e.g. bill queries, rates and time recording)
  • Process and complete BI reports relating to billing and rates
  • Update billing deadline on the intranet at the start of each month
  • Any other duties related to Billing as and when required
  • Ensure all matters meet compliance with ISO standards

We are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage documents, spreadsheets, and email communications effectively. Candidates should be able to navigate these tools confidently to complete administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstratable experience communicating clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and clients.
  • Evidence of working collaboratively within a team and adapting to changing priorities or tasks as needed.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with a track record of taking initiative and maintaining high levels of engagement and reliability.
  • Demonstratable ability to follow structured processes accurately, with strong attention to detail and confidence working with numerical information. Evidence of a solutions-focused approach to resolving queries or improving administrative workflows.

Some of our benefits include:

  • £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Earn up to 10% of your salary with our annual bonus scheme.
  • Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays per year increasing to 31 days with length of service, with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days holiday per year.
  • Auto enrolled into the workplace pension scheme, and we'll contribute a minimum of 6% of your salary.
  • 4x your annual salary in the event of a death in service.
  • Hybrid and flexible working for most roles with a minimum of 40% of your time spent in the office.
