Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the analysis and design of innovative legal and business solutions, supporting strategic change initiatives across the firm. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to define business problems, explore solution options, and ensure alignment with the firm’s IT strategy and delivery framework. You will also support other analysts in the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices.

The firm is growing at pace and this role is a pivotal appointment. It will play an influential role helping to drive the business forward towards Ambition 27 – an ambitious strategic vision which is underpinning significant double-digit growth.

 

You'll be joining at a crucial time for the business, and it will be attractive to experienced Business Analysts excited by the opportunity to play a really hands-on role in supporting strategic change and designing innovative solutions across the firm.

 

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Drive the feasibility, scoping, and requirements definition phases of complex projects.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of business analysis activities with the firm’s delivery process.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation including business cases, scoping documents, requirements specifications and other business analysis artefacts.
  • Support the development of delivery plans and contribute to testing, deployment, and post-implementation review phases.
  • Identify and evaluate innovative legal tech solutions that align with business needs and client expectations.
  • Conduct market research and vendor assessments for emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to design and implement client-facing and internal solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the team and wider business
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of BA tools, templates, and methodologies.
  • Champion best practices in business analysis and change delivery.
  • Support and deliver smaller-scale change initiatives, ensuring they are completed effectively and aligned with business objectives.


We are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business analysis role, with a proven track record of delivering value across a range of business change and technology projects.
  • Proven experience in a senior business analysis role, ideally within professional services or legal sector.
  • Experience across the full enterprise project lifecycle, with particular focus on business analysis activities such as discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, and benefits realisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leadership.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience producing amongst others business cases, scoping documents, process maps, and requirements specifications.
  • Ability to manage and deliver smaller-scale changes independently, ensuring initiatives are completed effectively without requiring full project management oversight.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 product suite.
  • Experience with legal technology platforms (e.g., Aderant, NetDocs, HighQ, Kira, etc.) is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., BCS, Agile BA, Lean Six Sigma) are desirable.
