Overview

Are you a creative and hands-on Learning and Development Advisor ready to take ownership of the full learning cycle? This is your chance to design and deliver impactful training that truly makes a difference.

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our People & Culture team at our single-site law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to design and deliver bespoke training programmes that make a real difference—no off-the-shelf content here. You’ll work closely with legal and business services teams to build capability, support career development, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

As the Learning and Development Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping meaningful learning experiences from the ground up—working in a collaborative, hands-on environment where you’ll own the full learning cycle, from identifying needs to designing and delivering impactful training.

As the Learning and Development Advisor, you will:

  • Design, deliver and evaluate soft skills training for colleagues across the firm.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify learning needs and align solutions with business goals.
  • Coach and support colleagues to enhance performance and retention.
  • Manage the full learning cycle, including admin tasks like enrolments, tracking completions, and reporting.
  • Oversee the LMS (Learning Management System), ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively tracked.
  • Support firm-wide initiatives, events, and compliance training in collaboration with Risk & Compliance.

We are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Learning and Development role, ideally within professional services or a corporate setting.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience designing and delivering learning in various formats (in-person, virtual, digital).
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with LMS administration is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small, dynamic team.

Some of our benefits include:

  • Salary reflective of your experience, circa. £28,000 - £32,000.
  • Earn up to 10% of your salary with our annual bonus scheme.
  • Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays per year increasing to 31 days with length of service, with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days holiday per year.
  • Auto enrolled into the workplace pension scheme, and we'll contribute a minimum of 6% of your salary.
  • 4x your annual salary in the event of a death in service.
  • Hybrid working with 40-60% of your time spent in the office.

Interview process:
The first stage will be a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with our Learning and Development Business Partner. If successful, you’ll be invited to a second-stage, in-person interview, which will include a competency-based discussion and a short presentation. You’ll receive the presentation brief in advance, allowing time to prepare at home.
